High Dose Vitamin C For Cancer
Using vitamin c therapy for cancer has been studied since the 1970s. It has been found that High dose vitamin c is effective in killing cancer cells and other invaders such as bacteria and viruses. Elevating vitamin C levels to 70 to 100 times higher than oral vitamin C, IV therapy helps kick naturally-occurring hydrogen peroxide into high gear, where it acts as an oxidant, destroying both cancer and other foreign invaders such as bacteria and viruses.
Benefits Of High Dose Vitamin C For Cancer:
- Only targets cancer cells & foreign invaders
- Can suppress tumors
- Improved quality of life
- Improvements in physical, mental, and emotional functions
What Role Does High Dose Vitamin C Therapy Play In The Treatment Of Cancer?
Vitamin C therapy for cancer kills cancer cells through the process of oxidation. Studies suggest that antioxidants actually promote oxidation while circulating in very high concentrations in the blood, a process tolerated by healthy cells because of their high catalase content.
Catalase is an enzyme that neutralizes oxidation and is not found within tumors, the way it is found abundantly within healthy cells. Vitamin C therapy for cancer utilizes this oxidative effect to target cancer cells directly.
Vitamin C Therapy For Cancer vs. Conventional Treatment Methods
Where conventional chemotherapy fails to discriminate between the presence of healthy cells and malignancies, high dose vitamin C therapy is able to target all cells without damaging the immune system with toxic chemotherapy drugs.
For patients undergoing conventional treatment methods including surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy, oncologists must constantly assess the damage to the immune system in relation to the benefit received by these treatments. In other words, doctors must assess the risk of killing a patient or further damaging their immune system.
This is not the case when using vitamin C therapy for cancer. This treatment can be administered at a consistently high dosage, providing patients with a continuous therapeutic benefit.

Vitamin C’s Action As A Tumor Killing Agent
Studies suggest that because vitamin C therapy is able to discriminate between healthy cells and cancerous cells in the body, it is non-toxic to the immune system and toxic only to cancerous cells. What is interesting to observe is that when vitamin C therapy is supplemented with catalase, a reduction in the tumor-killing effect was noted.
This has led researchers to believe that hydrogen peroxide plays an important role in the cancer-killing effects associated with vitamin C therapy and that cancer cells do not produce enough catalase to neutralize these high levels of hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide’s role in tumor suppression is also related to the levels of catalase produced by cancer cells. It has been noted that low levels of hydrogen peroxide are observed in a cancer-friendly environment, while high levels along with the reduction of catalase are observed when the body is free of oxidative stress.
Oxidative stress is known to contribute to malignancies and the spread of cancer. Because only a small amount of catalase can be produced by a large number of cancerous tumors, the benefit of hydrogen peroxide at high levels can be achieved and it’s cancer-fighting effects made possible through vitamin C therapy.
Hydrogen Peroxide and It’s Role In Vitamin C Therapy For Cancer
When an infusion of vitamin C is administered during therapy, hydrogen peroxide triggers a reaction that is lethal to tumor growth, while being easily tolerated by the patient.
Research by the National Institute of Health suggests that high concentrations of vitamin C must be present within the blood for patients to benefit from the oxidation produced by the therapy. For this reason, several grams must be administered intravenously and ideally in conjunction with ozone therapy.
As research regarding the dosage and administration of vitamin C therapy continues, the therapy is being optimized and modified to suit the needs of individual patients.
High Dose Vitamin C For Cancer: Is Toxicity Possible?
No, high dose vitamin c for cancer is very effective and safe.
The risk of toxicity or damage to healthy cells while using Vitamin C therapy for cancer is mitigated by the presence of catalase in the body, neutralizing the hydrogen peroxide produced during treatment.
Current protocol in administering vitamin C therapy requires that vitamin C blood and tissue levels are safe, yet effective in killing cancer cells while leaving tissues unharmed.
High Dose Vitamin C For Cancer: Does Work For Everyone?
With all the benefits of vitamin C therapy in the treatment of cancer, an important question remains unanswered: Why is vitamin C therapy not able to help all patients?
The answer to this question is complex but can be addressed by a few major variables.
The first relating to the varying levels of catalase, the enzyme we mentioned above, produced by malignant tumors.
- While vitamin C therapy is effective in treating many forms of cancerous tumors that produce low catalase levels, tumors producing higher levels of catalase may display an increased resistance to the cancer-killing effects of vitamin C therapy and hydrogen peroxide.
- Another reason vitamin C therapy may be ineffective for some patients concerns the transfer of electrons within cells. A catalyst to aid in the transfer of these electrons may be necessary and proves effective in restoring the efficacy of the treatment for many patients.
- Lastly, oxygen is needed for vitamin C to reduce hydrogen peroxide, the cancer killing agent in vitamin C therapy. In some cases, a lack of oxygen within the intracellular space is present, leaving cells unable to respond to the therapy’s many benefits. In cases such as those described, measures can be taken to assist cells in receiving the full benefit of vitamin C therapy, including oxygenation of the tumor cells.
Vitamin C & K3 Combination Therapy
As mentioned above, electrons play an important role in vitamin C therapy. The transfer of electrons from the vitamin to oxygen molecules is necessary to produce hydrogen peroxide, a crucial cancer-killing agent.
Vitamin K3, known also as menadione, acts as a catalyst in the transfer of these electrons. Clinical trials performed on both human and animal subjects suggest that administration of vitamin K3 boosts the effectiveness of high dose vitamin c for cancer, with injectable forms of K3 yielding the greatest results.
While effective in conjunction with vitamin C therapy, vitamin K3 should not be supplemented alone to treat or suppress tumor growth, as the cancer killing effects have been observed only in this synergistic vitamin C/K3 compound.
Supplementation with vitamin K3 alone may contribute to oxidative stress, while the administration of K3 with vitamin C infusions produces a cancer-killing, opposite effect.
