Colon Hydrotherapy is a very safe, non-invasive procedure that cleanses the colon to reduce and/or

remove parasites and toxins. This procedure is done by using large amounts of water through the rectum.

There are two types of systems: Open & Closed; Each system operates in a different way, which is important to understand when searching for Colonics — at Gentle Wellness Center, we use a CLOSED system only. A closed system requires the Colon Hydrotherapist to insert a speculum into the rectum (via the anus) which allows water to flow inside through a disposable tube that is then attached to the equipment. For precautions and the purpose of a closed system, the Colon Hydrotherapist MUST be in the room at all times.

  • Continue to drink plenty of water
  • Consume more laxative foods such as berries, leafy greens, beans, dried fruit, etc.
  • Follow your specific regimen per the colon hydrotherapists request

  • Gravity-Fed system meaning there is no water pressure and temperature is automatically set

Closed System:

  • Colon Hydrotherapist must be in the room at all times to monitor water pressure & temperature to prevent any form of leakage and perforation
  • Colon Hydrotherapist manually drains the colon by attaching a disposable tube through the rectum which is held by the speculum; client cannot push as they release through a hose

Cleanses, tones and rehabilitates the bowel system. Additionally, this assists with digestive problems or a result of: alcohol abuse, arthritis, bloating, constipation, colitis, indigestion and hemorrhoids.

Assists with weight loss as it flushes waste from the body; this then allows the body to absorb more nutrients & vitamins for an overall healthier digestive system.

Lacking certain nutrients in one's diet can result into numerous effects, regardless of how well one may eat: the buildup of toxins within the intestinal walls can cause a negative enlargement in the intestinal tract.

Colorectal cancer is third most common cancer for men and women in the United States; colonics can be used to reduce the risk of colon cancer when preparing for a colonoscopy.
